The Last Days of Pompeii Cuts on a Presto 6N - a lathe which was flown out from Arizona, and hand assembled in Ru’s Edinburgh studio - your music will have quite the journey cut into it. All the cuts are done by hand which means; Ru set’s the weights, angles and prepares your track for cutting all in real time - no AI or robotic assistance in this process - if your track is 4 mins then that’s how long each cut takes.

High quality sound guaranteed, each individual cut is fully tested on a range of record players from high end to budget.

Initially formed out of a desire to step back from the intensity of peak-time club spaces, the Edinburgh-based music project DRIFT has enjoyed 5 wonderfully relaxed years, during which they've curated some truly memorable listening bar events across the UK. In order to celebrate the special milestone, they've asked 12 producers and artists previously involved with DRIFT in one way or another to contribute something in their own style for a very special compilation album entitled "5 Years of DRIFT". Releasing fully on the 15th March, the release showcases a range of genres from spoken word and ambient, through jazz and neo-soul to experimental club and dreamy, distant jungle. The release will be available in physical format as bespoke, made-to-order lathe cuts with the sleeves featuring prints of the amazing hand-drawn artwork by Edinburgh based artist Ana Geissler and limited run DRIFT t-shirts.

This project showcases some of the very best in new music coming out of DRIFT's hometown of Edinburgh, as well as some contributions from further afield. There's honestly something in here for everyone, and with 100% of the sales going to the artists, any purchases directly support a blossoming music scene! Much love x

Pelicans Wash = Bahamas chugg business. The Entree is an icey arpeggiator, the main is a serving of "bloody hell this one keeps it moving" and the sweet sweet treat is the fizzy pads adding that extra touch of groove. theo giles
